Grand parents are special to every child. Their bed-time stories are integral part of everyone’s growing up years. They are also the wise and experienced ones we turn to in times of trouble. Their knowledge is invaluable and their love is unconditional. In keeping with this Grand Parents Day was celebrated in the school with great fervor. It was a special day for all those who attended the programme and for us, it gave a chance to interact with an age group that is most often overlooked. Grand parents play an imperative role in the life of every child so it’s the time to facilitate and honour the grandparent. Tiny tots in the colourful / attires were all excited to perform before their grandparents. The event started with Vishnu Leela and followed by Saraswati Vandana by the students of class II. Mr. D.K.Tyagi ,the principal of the school delivered a welcome speech and honoured the stage. After this tiny tots of Kindergarten in Gujrati and Rajasthani attires tapped their feet on various tunes. At last but not the least the function came to an end with the grand finale where the teachers also tapped their feet on the stage to encourage their students and thanked all the grandparents who were the witness of the event.
In the end, grandparents gave their views on the programme. They were overwhelmed with joy, as such a celebration was not conducted earlier. They congratulated the principal and staff on this venture. On the whole it was a grand success. The programme was concluded with a token of love given to all grandparents by the school.
