The school is religiously committed to making learning a fun-filled experience for students. To this end, the school will follow a policy of no homework up to class II. But to ensure sufficient reinforcement at home, the students will be given work sheets that he/she can practice. In a bid to make school bags lighter, students up to class II will also be encouraged to keep their books in school and carry a few essentials that are required everyday. At the same time, a policy of no examinations till class V will be pursued. However, to facilitate a continuous and comprehensive evaluation of each and every student, periodical assessments through work sheets and assignments, everyday class work and project work, oral as well as power point presentations will be carried out.
Parental involvement in their wards’ school lives is an essential part of DPS brand of education system. This follows from the school’s belief that for a child to take pride in his/her accomplishments and achievements, the people who matter to him/her the most – parents, grandparents and siblings – must always be there, encouraging him /her every step of the way. This is in complete consonance with the school’s ideology that each child has some innate potential which can and should be nurtured so that he/she can excel in that particular field. The school firmly believes that each participation, whether it leads to victory or defeat, is a learning experience. It surely adds to the child’s determination to be successful in whatever he/she chooses to pursue. So, a multitude of intra/inter-school activities will be encouraged to add to the child’s learning experiences.
